| "Micah Barnes as a singer is a
sight to behold. A truly authentic voice that reveals the heart
of a even more wonderful songwriter. And that's just Barnes the
artist. Then there is the matter of Micah Barnes the master teacher.
The one who reaches right inside you,and guides you to help yourself
quickly find the fear that is stopping the flow. He knows how
to zone in an appropriately sensitive way so that you can let
go and acknowledge your own authentic voice. This gifted teacher
lets himself be of service to others. So....In Micah I trust.
To Micah I go." Lorraine Segato, The Parachute Club |

"I compare
Micah to a master interior designer who can walk into an empty
room and envision the potential of the space. Barnes did that
with my voice, he could hear where I could get to and he helped
me get there"
Bob Leeburg
"When
I started to work with Barnes I had such a bad case of stage
fright. He was able to get inside my head and right to the heart
and soul of the problem. His gentle coaching, patience and honesty
helped me overcome my fears. I had worked on my stage fright
with alot of teachers but nothing worked until working with this
amazing vocal coach.
Thank you, Micah"

| "I'm
still flying from your workshop on Saturday. It was amazing!
I had all but resigned myself to the fact that I would probably
not be performing much anymore. I was going to concentrate on
writing, maybe jingles, but you've changed that. I'm now interested
in pursuing this as a career again. I walked out of your workshop
believing that I could do something with my voice and my writing.
Thank you for that.I'm looking forward to doing more work with
you." Peggy White |

| "If Mr. Barnes had his workshop at a bungie
jumping sight, I'd go, (and I'm afraid of heights!). And if he
said "Jump and sing on the way down", I would, because
he makes you feel so SAFE as you boomerang around places you've
never been, but always wanted to go." Laura

"What struck me the most is how you were
able to crawl inside each of us with such great instincts and
such creative leaps as to what is making us stuck. You nailed
it each and every time. To listen that intently, that deeply,
to ask those questions, to see what no one can see themselves-that
is beyond masterful. You are a masterful listener, championer,
challenger and communicator. But you in your magical singer's
playground, invite all the children in all of us to come out
and play and forget about all that ego stuff and just have fun
and be nice in the playground. You invite people to get into
ACTION and movement and there is no better way to get unstuck
than to get people doing it." Judy

| "Barnes is one of the best teachers I've
ever had. He works very personally and intensively with all his
students. He has an amazing way of getting into your head and
really looking out through your eyes. If this sounds scary, it
isn't. It's actually a whole lot of fun and makes for some pretty
astonishing results. The bottom line is this: singing was the
only thing left that I was afraid to do onstage, and now I'm
not afraid. In fact, I'm starting to love it!" Milo Johnson, writer / performer |

"Micah, Just wanted to let you know that I've done it! I've finally reached that part in performance where it is more about connecting and feeling my music instead of worrying about all the technical crap! HOORAY!
Today I just found out that I am one of the top ten musical theatre performers in the greater Montreal area, When preparing for the audition (I had two days) I vowed to just be myself, sing something that I connected with, and promised to show the judges who *I* am as Heather, not what I thought they wanted. . . and VOILA! Top ten baby! I KNEW coming out of the audition that I nailed it. I was centred, connected, and although I felt vulnerable, I worked through it and I was very proud of myself. I realy felt the journey of the song, and there was definite transformation in the room, for me and the panel. The judges loved me and had nothing but positive feedback for me, which was really exciting!
Just wanted to let you know that had you not kept after me about connecting to my music,
I may not be where I am today. Thanks a bunch!" Heather White |

"I really want to say thank you for all your hard work with me and also how glad I was to have been able to do that last performance workshop. I was really nervous on Saturday but when we stepped on stage and I thought about why all those people had come and who we were really performing for, all my anxiety melted away and I just sang my face off! I was so proud of those other women too, who were just as crazy nervous as I was but, for the first time, I was able to help them with their nerves!
Thanks for helping me change my life. It means the world to me. Love Joeann |

"Hi just a quick note
to say, Thanks Micah. I've been in this business over 15 years
and have participated to tons of seminars and conferences and
I can say "High Five" to Micah. It was the best, the
most informative and the most fun. The role playing will definitely
help me remember how it all goes."

"I just finished typing
up my notes from Sunday and what alot I have learned from you!
I think the biggest statement that hit home for me was "if
you're not where you want to be you're not working hard enough"
and also "don't risk a no by pushing for a yes". Those
two are just the tip of the iceberg of course - I really found
it helpful and you very open honest and generous about the business
and your own personal experience.
Many thanks

"Hi Micah, Thank you so
much for the incredible seminar this weekend. I really appreciated
how you created a very safe space for us to explore our strengths
and weaknesses, our successes and failures. It is so rare to
always have such a safe space outside of yourself when you are
working, and your coaching work is more than needed. I believe
we all learned big things last night I will make sure to keep
in touch with ALL of my questions (and I have many!) and you
will be seeing me at your next seminar."
Thank you,

"Just wanted to drop you another quick note to let you know that my gig went FABULOUSLY! My voice was there right from the start, but even better, something just clicked and this strange sense of self acceptance came over me, and I totally got out of my own way and just did what came naturally...it was a lovely, easy, joyous and truly freeing experience! And I got some positive feedback as well, both by the audience and by fellow performers. My piano player, who's never really commented one way or the other, said, "So, uhh, how long have you been working with Micah? Cause it really shows...you seem so much more confident tonight!". And all I can say is thank you once again Micah...working with you has done so much for me, the vocalizing, yes, fantastic, but it's all your encouragement and support that's really helping me come out of my shell and simply be myself (notice how I used the word "simply"? ) Here again, I feel you go over and above for your students, and that's what sets you apart from everyone else...it's a precious gift that you offer, and one that I've been so fortunate to receive. It's changing me, liberating me, giving me the courage to be who I need to be...nothing more, and nothing less...and it's a REAL THRILL! And I have so much more to learn, so much more that needs liberating, so much work ahead of me...
